Schedule June/July Activities

Construction on the access road is on target and almost completed.

Monday through Saturday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PMDuring these hours, both the upper and lower driveways will remain accessible.

In the evenings and on weekends, metal plates will be placed over the work area to allow for safe passage. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this work is completed.

A time dedicated to raising awareness about:

  • Millions of people living with dementia
  • Honoring their caregivers
  • Supporting research for prevention, treatment, and ultimately a cure.

JACQUIE GALES WEBB – CELEBRATING HER LIFE, HER VOICE & 35 YEARS OF RADIO

Join us in celebrating Jacquie Gales Webb as she honors her remarkable Life, Voice, and 35 Years in Radio on Friday, June 26th at 7:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Highland Park. This is a FREE community event featuring the introduction of the DMV Super Choir and special appearances by Phillip Carter, Mike McCoy, Charles Butler, along with some of the DMV’s finest artists and speakers. Special guests include Brandon Camphor, Brent Jones, and Bryan Andrew Wilson. The evening will be hosted by Rev. Jerome Allen Bell. Come and be a part of this unforgettable celebration of faith, music, broadcasting excellence, and community impact. We look forward to seeing you there!

21st WILLIAM HUMPHREY JR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP GOLF TOURNAMENT 

Tuesday, September 15, at 7:30 AM at Lake Presidential Golf Course

Join us for the 21st Annual William Humphrey, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament on Tuesday, September 15, at 7:30 AM at Lake Presidential Golf Course. This annual event supports scholarship opportunities while bringing together golfers, sponsors, and community members for a great day on the course.

WOMEN OF FIRE – Daycation IV Sight and Sound – Joshua

Join the Women of Fire for a Daycation IV Sight and Sound trip to see the Play Joshua on October 15th @ 11:00 AM. The bus will depart from Highland Park at 7:00 AM and return @ 8:00 PM. SUNDAY BIBLICAL INSTITUTE(SBI) YOUTH CLASSES

Classes: Pre-K through 12th.

When: 1st, 2nd, and 4th Sundays of the month

Location:  James J. McCord Education Building, 1st Floor.

Youth Sunday Biblical Institute is going to be a powerful time of growth. Our youth will focus on meaningful lessons designed to deepen their faith, while our teens will spend intentional time learning about prayer and how to truly listen for God’s voice through the lives of the Women of the Bible. Together, they will discover how God spoke, guided, and strengthened these women and how He is still speaking today.

JESUS AND ME (JAM) YOUTH MINISTRIES – AWANA & (JAM) TEEN

 
Join JAM AWANA (Age 3 – 6th Grade) and JAM Teen (Grades 7 – 12).

GIRL SCOUTS MINISTRY

The Girl Scouts Ministry of FBCHP is now accepting registration for scouts in grades K5 to 12th grades for 2025-2026 Girl Scout year. The Girl Scouts engage in various activities within the church, the local community, and on a global scale. Our efforts include supporting nursing homes, women’s shelters, food kitchens, women’s ministries, the Angel Tree program, and any other organizations that seek our assistance. We typically convene from September to May, meeting on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

We are also in need of adult leaders. Please, this organization can’t operate without the appropriate number of adult volunteers. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with gsministry@fbchighlandpark.org if you are interested in becoming an adult leader.

 

WOMEN OF FIRE – MORNING GLORY PRAYER CALL

4th Saturday of Every Month from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM


The Women of Fire will be praying virtually on the 4th Saturday of every month via our Social Media Platforms. Join them live on our Facebook or Youtube streams as the prayer warriors of Highland Park pray on behalf of others and lift up various petitions to the Lord.

 

INTERCESSORY PRAYER MINISTRY

All are welcome as we seek God in unity, faith, and expectation in the East Chapel for an Intercessory Prayer gathering. This sacred time is dedicated to standing in the gap as mediators between God and those in need. Together, we bring petitions before the Lord for the protection, healing, and guidance of individuals, families, groups, and specific situations.

All new members are encouraged to sign up for the New Members Assimilation Class to learn more about Highland Park and finding your place in ministry.

MEN’S WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY

This season, the group will journey through Gradually Then Suddenly How to Dream Bigger, Decide Better, and Leave a Lasting Legacy by Mark Batterson, exploring what it means to live with intention and trust God through every season.

There are so many powerful moments that occur in this unique space. We are blessed to move from our time of studying the Word of God to the Locker Room so that brothers can really talk. Every brother can bring a brother, and every sister can send a brother! The word is spreading throughout Prince George’s County and the Washington DC Metropolitan Area about this powerful gathering and you don’t want to miss it!

ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUP for Caregivers

2nd & 4th Monday @ 7:00 PM – Via zoom
The Alzheimer’s Support Group for Caregivers is a compassionate and nonjudgmental gathering of individuals who have similar responsibilities in caring for loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Members share their experiences, encourage and inspire one another and share tips and resources that are relevant to group discussions.  Group meetings are via Zoom on the 2nd and 4th Monday from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM.  Please contact Reverend Cheryl McNeill at alzsupport@fbchighlandpark.org if you have any questions.
