Congregational Care Ministry
Introduction:
The Ministry of Congregational Care provides care and support for each member of the congregation. Congregational Care teams have been formed to function like an umbrella, covering the person under it. We seek to establish relationships with every member through monthly contact.
Mission Statement:
The Mission of the Congregational Care Ministry is to support Pastor Davis in caring for the membership. With a church membership that is growing daily, we all need to work together to provide care, guidance, and support for all of our members, not just during times of grief or illness. Our goal is to establish relationships with every member so that each of our members receive contact from a Congregational Care team member each month.
History:
Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Davis recognized a need to redirect our efforts in the manner that we care for our members. Reverend Dr. Renée Alston was asked to serve as the Minister of Congregational Care. Dr. Alston, along with Deacon Edward Harrison, established Congregational Care Teams comprised of our ministers, diaconate, missionaries, and lay persons. These teams work together to enhance and strengthen membership care by expanding the number of ministry servants assigned to each member.
Services and Activities:
Congregational Care teams make direct contact with members each month through phone calls, video visits (Zoom, FaceTime, Google Duo), in person visits, email, greeting cards and text messages.

Evangelism Ministry
Introduction: The Evangelism Ministry (EMT) is called to fulfill the “Great Commission” (Matthew 28:18-20) and demonstrate the love of God to lost souls. Each ministry member is committed to a Lifestyle of witnessing and is commanded by Jesus Christ to share the Gospel as we have been trained and equipped. EMT’s aim is to invite the unsaved in our communities and the world to become a part of the Kingdom of God. EMT’s goal is to see that no one will be deceived by sin but have an opportunity to receive eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Mission Statement: The Evangelism Ministry Team (EMT) works tirelessly to extend love to those who have not yet experienced God’s unconditional love. We offer God’s gift of Salvation through His Son Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8,9). God’s desire, as is the EMT, is not to have anyone to perish (John 3:15). Our purpose is to enlist, equip, and empower those who are evangelized to become evangelists themselves.
History: The Evangelism Ministry was established in the 1970s by Brothers Carl Felton Sr., Austin Smith, and Henry Green. The ministry would go door-to-door as well as various outdoor locations in the community. The core method of evangelistic training and growth was street witnessing and conferences. The evangelism ministry participated in the local Billy Graham Crusade and the Campus Crusade for Christ ministry events.

And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Acts 1:8 (NLT) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
